The End is Near

It’s so crazy to think that in less than a month, I won’t have any more assignments. Looking back, I realize how much work I’ve put in and how it is finally starting to pay off. Throughout this process, I have been developing three brand logos, producing high quality content, and making meaningful connections along the way.

Let’s go back to the beginning.

At the start of this process, I asked myself where am I and where am I supposed to be. That question guided a lot of my revisions, especially when working on mockups and trying to make sure everything felt cohesive and intentional. I explored unique mockups and focused on building strong photography sections to support each brand identity. I did consistent research throughout the week, finding different brand mock ups, and how people were presenting their brand, mockups in hopes that I can find the proper way to present mine for my demo reel. I overall have not found the best way to present it, but I have some ideas that I am looking forward to talking with Professor Ketty about.

Newsflash, I am officially done with all of my photography work, and I have successfully completed all four campaigns. One of the brands I worked on was Belle Cosmetics, where I was able to fully develop and execute a complete visual direction. This was so fun to do, and I had a lot of creative direction and guides that really helped me throughout the way, which was a blessing.

I also worked with Pixel 19, where I explored animation options for their brand. I came across some really interesting animations that I think align well with their vision, and I am excited about the direction that could take. I spent a lot of time in animation software trying to find what fit me best in a short amount of time, but I was luckily successful because there were so many YouTube animation tutorials, and I had a vision for what I was going for and I'm a fast learner. As far as animation goes, I will work with the pixel 19 owner to finalize his final animation idea.

Along the way, I completed evaluation notes and received feedback suggesting that I may have been over communicating. At first, I was not entirely sure how to interpret that, but I have been reflecting on it and trying to understand whether that feedback is personal or based on industry standards. Either way, it has helped me think more critically about how I present my work and communicate ideas.

Looking ahead, the next steps involve submitting my rough drafts and continuing revisions. I have built out 2 brand standards that feel strong and consistent, almost like fully developed brands. Now, it is just about refining those final details and tying everything together.

Overall, this journey has been challenging, creative, and incredibly rewarding, and I am excited to see how everything comes together in the end.
